[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.

Either way, care to help this kiddo out?]

Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...

What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.

And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]

[Asbel just so happens to be in the plaza, having headed there after a rigorous exercise regimen to get some lunch. Having a proper diet is the key to staying in shape!

...That said, when Asbel sees this kid who obviously is a New Feather, judging by his garb, the way he's trudging through the snow, and the expression on his face, well... Asbel feels compelled to help him. Time to approach him.]

[Thaaaat is really cold! As if Jude wasn't freezing enough already, feeling the ice roll down the back of his neck... hnnngh. He jumps, shivering as the snow falls back down.]

H-hey! That's cold! [Who threw that...?! He looks around behind him, searching for the perpetrator.]

[She made no effort to hide herself, but that totally didn't have anything to do with her having a laugh at his expense. Nuh-uh.]

That's the whole point! I have to hand it to you though, that reaction was even better than I was hoping for.

I don't think there is anything else you can do. The wings are always in the way no matter what.

That really is a shame... I managed to find an outfit from home, but it's a favorite of mine. I'd really hate to have to cut it up.

I just cut holes for them. I'm not really attached to any of my clothes, though, so it doesn't bother me. I can't really think of any better way to deal with them.

I think those are really the only two choices. But maybe there's someone around really good at sewing so they can cut slits for the wings but keep everything nice.

I know that. If I have to cut it up, I'll cut it up. I just wanted to see if anyone had any alternative ideas first before I went ahead and did that.

As he hears the New Feather, he adjusts his glasses with a wry grin.]

Well, well. It sounds like our newest arrival is a human thermometer.

[He's just speaking the truth, okay...! It is cold! Especially with him wearing such little clothing.]

Still, I suppose that guiding you towards the clothing store should be a simple task, so long as your lower body isn't ravaged by frostbite during the walk.

It's New Feather season and close to the holidays. if you don't act now, you might be in line until spring. [ Probably not, though. ]

Most people tend to hide them, but if that's uncomfortable, I know a couple of guys that are fashion wizards that could help you out with the hole part. Not sure they'd do it, but you could always ask them.

Yeah, I'm figuring by now that holes are the only way to go... Would you mind telling me who those people are?

That really depends on the clothing. I usually just leave the wings underneath my looser shirts, but I cut holes in the tighter ones so they aren't squashing my wings down.

I think it all comes down to what you find the most comfortable. I know some people don't like having their wings under any clothing at all.

I guess with looser shirts the wings wouldn't be much of a problem. Most of the stuff I had been wearing today wasn't exactly my size, so I hadn't even thought of it.

Some people suggested finding someone to cut the holes neatly for me, so I could just have them do that with more fitting clothing. That way I have ones without holes handy too for whatever reason, just in case.
