G-geez, it's freezing...
[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.
Either way, care to help this kiddo out?]
voice;
[Later on, once he's all settled and knows what he needs to know, he creates his first journal entry in order to address a Very Important Question.]
Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...
What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.
And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]
Anyway, thanks.

Re: voice;
You'd be surprised. I mean, we found a lot in common with Vulcans, enough to start relations with them. You guys probably have religion, beliefs, ethics, right? Regions of your world, legends of its creation, thoughts on how countries should be run. Somewhere in there we have to have some more in common.
Re: voice;
As for politics, we definitely have our fair share on differing ideals, and tensions between countries like Rashugal and Auj Oule.
Re: voice;
So, basically, you're like every other planet we've more or less encountered, in one way or another. Don't worry. We find the common ground, somehow.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Well, I have come to like sitting and chatting at Natasha's coffee shop, since I can't be very active right now, so believe me, you have my rapt attention.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
In person. This is just like a phone call, which is fine, but in person gives me a reason to get out of the house.
Re: voice;
That works for me. Are you free today, or would you prefer meeting up another time?
Re: voice;
Naw, I'll come on out. I could use a good walk anyways.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Oh! Right sure, um, here...
[ He sketched out a sort of rough map on the journals for him, labeling as best he could, trying to think of it all from an arial view, which was harder than expected. ]
Does that make sense?
Re: voice;
Yeah, I think I got it. So I'll meet you there?
Re: voice;
Sure thing. Just give me a bit to get over there.
[ And he signed off, going to get his boots and make his way to the shop as promised (along with some delicious coffee).]
Re: voice;
Kirk? Are you here?
Re: voice;
[ Kirk looked over from where he had claimed a spot by a window, raising his hand to wave to Jude when the boy called his name. ]
Right here. I thought I'd snag us a table before anything else. So, nice meet you again, Jude.
Re: voice;
[Upon seeing and hearing Kirk, Jude makes his way on over to the table and sits across from him.]
That was a good call. It's nice to meet you too -- you know, in person this time, haha...
Re: voice;
Haha, yeah, I know. It's kind of weird, like I've been talking on the phone to someone for ages and finally get to see their face.
[ He chuckled, but seemed relaxed and wholly not nervous. ]
I think I had been imagining you would a mop-top though.
voice;
[Kirk certainly didn't look quite as Jude thought he did either.]
But... A mop-top...?
Re: voice;
I think it's cause you're called 'Jude' and I got to thinking of the Beatles. They had this famous hair style called a 'mop-top'.
[ He chuckled and waved him to sit down. ]
But they were way before my time.
Re: voice;
[He pauses for a moment, thinking it over.]
...Really, all I can imagine is it looking like they literally have a mop on their head, stringy hair and all.
Re: voice;
[ He laughed, but it wasn't a mocking one. ]
Haha nope, it just means this sort of longish hair cut. I think it usually has bangs? You're is a bit to spiky. They were back in style a couple decades ago - pops up in movies all the time.
Re: voice;
And I'm guessing movies are another part of your advanced technology?
Re: voice;
Yeah, though they've been around for a long time in my world. Easiest explanation is to try and imagine movie pictures that include color and sound.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
You know, I don't think we have a theatre, but I'm sure I can show you something on the TVs with DVDs or something. It's how I watched Star Wars.
