G-geez, it's freezing...
[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.
Either way, care to help this kiddo out?]

[Later on, once he's all settled and knows what he needs to know, he creates his first journal entry in order to address a Very Important Question.]
Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...
What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.
And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]
Anyway, thanks.

Re: voice;
Well, it's a classic. If I can find a way to have you listen to it, I will. Shouldn't be to hard. They're not everyone's cup of tea though.
Re: voice;
[aka this loser doesn't know what records or CDs are...]
Re: voice;
Ah, I'm guessing you're from a world that doesn't have a lot of technological advancement?
[ It's not said in a bad way, more like - well, they're out there, just checking he's right. ]
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Ah, then by my world's standards, you're still back in the pre-tech days. We have things in my world that allow you to record, play back, and listen to music, movies, speeches - anything really.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
It's through turning things like sound into data. Processors in the tech form up the 1s and 0s of the digital code and send it through speakers, that read it out back into sound. This makes it all very portable and inexpensive too.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Well, this journal we're talking through? I'm pretty sure it's like what I'm talking about. It's data being rapidly taken in and put back out so we can hear each other. Phones work like this - they're just smaller and not book shaped.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Yup! In my world, they can let you talk to people over very long distances, even out into space when we're on our ships, though that's usually reserved for official communication. Easier and faster than a letter.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
The talking? Yeah, we are. Sending that signal into space? Nope. I tried. If I could I would have called for the Enterprise and gotten us all out of here!
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Oh, that's the name of my space ship - the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
I don't own her, but I am her Captain, so she's mine in my head. I work for a group called Star Fleet back home.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
It was nothing but dreams a few centuries ago for my planet. It was the stuff of books and TV shows and movies. And then we made it real and it's... amazing.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Maybe one day you will. Who knows? A lot of things can happen in a person's lifetime.
Re: voice;
[A pause, before he continues.]
So how long have you been in Luceti now?
Re: voice;
Well... depends on how you remember things. I was here a year, and then I went home for about the same time, and then I was back here. But, to people here, I'd only been gone three days. Space-time is a weird beast.
Re: voice;
Re: voice;
Something like that. I really don't understand it myself, but somehow it seems to work, and I've had enough of weird time-space stuff to last a life time.
