G-geez, it's freezing...

[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.

Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...

What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.

And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]

Shifts are... Well, I guess they're kind of like the magic of this world.

So putting it that way, I guess they're sort of like Spirit Artes -- or in your case, Cryas Artes. Just under a different name.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting, honestly. I know some people here even come from worlds that have Apple Gels and Life Bottles in them like Ephinea does.

Oh! Really? Rieze Maxia has those too, actually. Along with other types of Gels like Lemon, Pineapple, and Melange ones. I guess our worlds really are pretty similar. Does Luceti have them too?

They're available for use inside the Battle Dome, but... It's definitely strange to not see every store selling them.

Free? Seriously? What's to stop someone from just taking everything in the store, then?

It's a pretty small village, so they wouldn't be able to get very far. And besides, everything just gets restocked here automatically anyway.

Huh... That must take a lot of trust, either way. [a beat] What about the workers? If everything is free, how do they get paid?

I don't think I've ever really even seen any employees here, actually... Aside from a couple people that take it upon themselves to organize everything.

Well in that case, that's very generous for them to do that. Especially if they're not getting any compensation for it.

It's kind of a shame though. I had this outfit I really liked and wore most of the time back at Rieze Maxia, but now I don't have it.

It'll probably show up here soon. [Asbel says this thoughtfully, recalling his own first arrival here, and the arrivals of his friends.] Usually whatever you had on you shows up in the shops.
