G-geez, it's freezing...
[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.
Either way, care to help this kiddo out?]

[Later on, once he's all settled and knows what he needs to know, he creates his first journal entry in order to address a Very Important Question.]
Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...
What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.
And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]
Anyway, thanks.

Oh well. If nothing can be done, then that's that I guess. I'll have to go through all my clothes and do that later. Even if we couldn't come up with anything else, thanks for the input.

Someone suggested getting someone at the clothing store to cut it for me so they could keep the slits neat. So I'm at least not all that worried about them getting ruined.
voice;
That's probably a good idea. It's definitely safer that way if you're worried about your favorite clothes.
voice;
But anyway, I said it before, but my name's Jude Mathis. What's yours?

[He pauses for a moment, thinking over whether or not he even has any questions for Shinji right now. Hm...]
So, since I'll be here for a while... what is there to do around here?
voice;
Uh, well, I guess it depends on what you like to do. There's always people trying to make this place more interesting. [Of course, even then, it still felt pretty limited, but that wasn't exactly encouraging.] There's a library, a bar, hot springs... A lot of people train at the battle dome, but you could use it for other things, too. Oh, and the rec center has games, if you're into stuff like that.
voice;
So... a handful of things to do, it sounds like. At least to keep me occupied for a while. That's good at least.
voice;
Yeah. It might be hard to get used to at first, but there's plenty of stuff to do to keep your mind off of things.
[There's a pause, and then, Shinji gets an idea.]
...oh, and speaking of people trying to make this place more interesting, there's this thing called the SOS Brigade. It's a group dedicated to helping people live better lives here. I don't know if you'd be interested, but we could always use more people, so...
[If nothing else, maybe this guy could mention it to others.
Anything to lessen his own suffering, tbh.]voice;
The SOS Brigade? I'm not sure if I'd be entirely interested in joining a group right now, but I can at least keep it in mind. It's nice to know that there are people doing that sort of thing here. Besides being stuck here and being subject to experiments... it does sound like this place isn't all that bad.
[Not that he wants to be here, but you know.]
voice;
[It's a slightly bold assumption, when he thinks about it, but Misato seemed to understand these things better than he did.]
voice;
It would make sense. If you've been here for that long, eventually you'd have to stop sulking around and start doing something with your time while keeping some pondering on how to escape in mind. I imagine it must be hard though, especially after years of living like this... I'm sure some people would forget that they'll probably leave eventually, as will their friends. Maybe even sometimes before the other.
[He pauses, suddenly feeling sheepish for rambling.]
...At least, that's what I take from what I've heard and read so far.
