G-geez, it's freezing...

[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.

Either way, care to help this kiddo out?]

Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...

What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.

And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]

[He puts his pile of clothing down on a nearby counter before returning the coat to Asbel and putting on one of his chosen new ones.]

Well... depends on how you remember things. I was here a year, and then I went home for about the same time, and then I was back here. But, to people here, I'd only been gone three days. Space-time is a weird beast.

Oh. Huh... That's... pretty confusing. I guess that means time works differently here than in other worlds though.

Okay, but I'm more interested in getting my coat back than suggesting fashionable clothes for you. Just saying.

I know, I know. I'll hurry up and find something then so you can take this back. Sorry about that.

[She would just be wandering around the store and maybe glancing at a few winter dresses until he was ready.

[He's not particularly picky, so it doesn't take Jude very long to find some things he likes. Once he does, he swaps Jane's coat with one of the new ones before approaching her and holding it out.]

[Jane just waved off his thanks and put her coat back on. Somehow she didn't think he would appreciate it if she elaborated on the reasoning behind that decision.]

Of course not, I'm made of tougher stuff than that! [Yup, that was a bad lie.]

I can hardly wrap my head around it, honestly. But I guess the best I can do is just accept it.

But anyway, the reason I was asking was because I wanted to know if you had any suggestions of what to do around here. If I'm going to be stuck here for a while, well... I need to find something to do to pass the time.

[A pause, as he picks up the pile of clothes again.]

It's kind of a shame though. I had this outfit I really liked and wore most of the time back at Rieze Maxia, but now I don't have it.

Oh, yeah, that's always a problem. We have a library, if you want to get some reading in, or you could learn to a ride horse at the stables - just check no one owns the horse. We have a battle dome if you want to practice sparring or do some simulations.

Every now and then our lovely captors put us through the wringer with Shifts, and this time of year some of the people throw some big parties you could go to. When it's not so cold I would suggest going around and hiking through the forest.

I do love reading, so I'll probably be visiting that library often. And I heard about the Battle Dome from someone else earlier. I'd hate to fall back on my martial arts, so I'll be sure to keep in shape through that.

But uh... Wow, that sure is a lot. I guess it'll take a while before I actually start to get bored and not have anything new to do here, huh? Though those Shifts sure sound exciting, ahah...

[The last bit is mostly sarcasm. From what he heard about them, he's not looking forward to those.]

It'll probably show up here soon. [Asbel says this thoughtfully, recalling his own first arrival here, and the arrivals of his friends.] Usually whatever you had on you shows up in the shops.

Well, you learn to find new things to do or go crazy from boredom. And I am not about to give the Malnosso that particular satisfaction.

And I'm assuming those things you suggested are more or less what you do to keep yourself from boredom?

Umm... No, they don't. But I can't say I've heard of many cases of people's clothes being stolen here. [Gosh Jude, have more faith in people.]

More or less. I'm doing rehabilitation too, so that occupies a lot of my time as well right now.
