voice;

Hello everyone. I've... been here for quite a while now, and I think it's about time I start getting involved instead of always sitting around and kinda doing my own thing. [Three and a half months and it gets awfully boring, really.] Some of you already know this, but back in Rieze Maxia I was actually a medical student, and I also know healing artes. Some people suggested working at one of the clinics, so... I was wondering how I should go about signing up for that.

Likewise, I remember Emil telling me about this "Brave Vesperia" group we have here, so could someone also tell me more about that? I'm starting to get kind of interested in it.

[A beat, before he adds:]

Also, this is unrelated, but does anyone have any book suggestions? I'm partial to nonfiction since I usually read about medicine or even the different technology Luceti has, but I'm open to pretty much anything.

Sorry about all the questions. But thanks!

[Mia pays more attention when he starts talking about working in the clinic. She thinks he seems young.

After another minute, she thinks she probably was the same, back then.]

Are you interested in one of the clinics in particular? You could always work at both. Unless there is an experiment going on, most of the time, neither one is overwhelmingly busy.

I've found studying atlases for different worlds to be quite engaging. I've seen a few good ones for Earth, the planet I'm from.

On the medical side, Gray's Anatomy by Henry Gray is a famous textbook on human anatomy. Also Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach.

I don't know a lot about Brave Vesperia other than that they do odd jobs around the city but if you wanna work at the clinic, you'd probably need to talk to Law about that. He'd have way more info on that than I do!

Brave Vesperia? I'm actually part of that group. What did he tell you about it so far?

I'm not much of a reader, but I can show you to the library's non-fiction section if that helps.

Heh, well, if you can't find something to read you can come over and help me work on the bike if you want, or I could always use sparring partners. I wish I could say there was a ton more to do in this place, but you kind of get a routine once everything is said and done with what we got.

Yeah, I need some more too. It's good to get the variety you know? And I'm finally back into shape enough I'd actually put up a good fight for someone!

Your mileage may vary in regards to good reads, but they'll be interesting at the least.

Any books you can recommend?

Yep! He works in the Battle Dome clinic. He's not a bad guy if you ask me so maybe it'd be worth it to talk to him?

[Granted Selphie doesn't know Law that well but at least they're civil with each other.]

Aren't you kinda young to be a Doctor though?

I've been learning hand-to-hand, but before that it was mostly using my phaser. We got some training in the Academy, but nothing like what I've learned here and it's a lot more useful besides.

Then I think you should come look around, if you haven't already.

Herbal medicine wouldn't be a bad thing to know here. [Information is information after all.] I'll keep an eye out for the book.

Another book you might be interested in is Cosmos by Carl Sagan. It's a good science book.
