G-geez, it's freezing...

[In the afternoon, those in the plaza may find this poor unfortunate new feather trudging toward it as he makes his way there in only pants. Needless to say, he's freezing, and he just wants some actual clothes and warm food...! And to know what the heck is going on. He had already glanced at his journal a bit before, so he knows where he is at least, but he's still awfully confused. Not like he really had the chance to read the journal's guide in depth yet since he's just trying to find a place to stay indoors for now.

Hello everyone. My name is Jude Mathis. I'm what you all call a "new feather," and I just arrived earlier today. I've already read most of the guide, so don't worry about filling me in on where I am and all. I do, however, have one particular question...

What do you all do with your wings in regards to clothing? It's kind of uncomfortable to keep them underneath it all, but it'd be a shame if I had to cut up my favorite clothes just to fit my wings through a hole... So does anyone have any suggestions? I figure it's either one or the other, but it's worth asking what you all do, at least.

And also, is there anyone here from Rieze Maxia? Milla? Alvin? [On one hand, he hopes he's not the only one, but on the other, he really wouldn't want them to be stuck here like he apparently is...]

It would make sense. If you've been here for that long, eventually you'd have to stop sulking around and start doing something with your time while keeping some pondering on how to escape in mind. I imagine it must be hard though, especially after years of living like this... I'm sure some people would forget that they'll probably leave eventually, as will their friends. Maybe even sometimes before the other.

[He pauses, suddenly feeling sheepish for rambling.]

...At least, that's what I take from what I've heard and read so far.

Anyway, if the food is good, I'm fine with going there.

Oh right! [Rue gives a sheepish giggle.] That's over this way, to the southeast. It's close to the bakery so it's nice getting something from each place.

That's how it usually goes. Even though you know it's going to happen, it's easy to forget until it actually does. [Shinji personally didn't care too much about people leaving, usually. But he understood that it was easy to forget, too.] It's better than sitting around here doing nothing, though, I guess. If you keep yourself busy, it's kinda of... easier.

I only got here at the beginning of last month. I know the barrier was invaded a few months before that, but at least with a situation like that you're fighting in your own interest instead of on behalf of someone else. It's still shitty, though.

Haha nope, it just means this sort of longish hair cut. I think it usually has bangs? You're is a bit to spiky. They were back in style a couple decades ago - pops up in movies all the time.

Well, just lead the way and I'll follow. I wouldn't mind stopping by the bakery too though, if you want.

Yeah, it really is... if that's the case though, I wonder when the next time either that or a draft would happen again.

I guess I should definitely make sure to keep up on my martial arts though. If you ever need someone to train with, we could practice together, if you want.

You use a weapon at all, or is it all hand-to-hand?

Yeah, though they've been around for a long time in my world. Easiest explanation is to try and imagine movie pictures that include color and sound.

What's your favorite thing from a bakery?

The only spirit artes I can use are healing ones, so I stick to hand-to-hand combat.

You know, I don't think we have a theatre, but I'm sure I can show you something on the TVs with DVDs or something. It's how I watched Star Wars.
